Vocabulary progression
Vocabulary is carefully planned for and is an integral part of our curriculum. Progressive vocabulary linked to the seven areas of learning is planned into our curriculum and vocabulary to promote in the continuous provision areas is progressively planned across the EYFS. You will find examples of our vocabulary pyramids for our continuous provision and themes below.
Uniform
Reception children – You can purchase school jumpers from Debonair at Oldham Market or alternatively visit this website and order them online
Nursery children – You come to school in your own clothes, please ensure these are practical and weather appropriate.

The Reception Baseline Assessment
Your child will be assessed at the beginning of the Reception year, within 6 weeks of their start date. This will be completed by the class teacher or a member of staff known to them and will be carried out sensitively, respecting the age and developmental needs of your child. This is a statutory assessment and you will find further information below.
